Health Insurance

Foreign students and researchers residing in Korea may be subject to mandatory enrollment in the Korean National Health Insurance (NHI) system. Eligibility, enrollment procedures, and insurance premiums vary depending on factors such as visa status, employment status, and length of stay in Korea.

In many cases, enrollment is processed automatically after completion of foreigner registration. However, individual circumstances may differ.
