Eligibility
Applicants must hold a Master's degree or higher and be actively engaged in research at their home institution. Before applying, prospective students are required to identify and obtain approval from a KENTECH faculty member who will serve as their host supervisor during the research stay.
Visa and Immigration
Applicants for the Visiting Research Student Program are required to obtain a D-2-5 research student visa.

Research plan signed by the host professor
Confirmation of Foreign Research Student form, to be provided by KENTECH
* A family relationship certificate is required if a parent's bank statement is submitted.
Step 1. Invitation Preparation
The host professor or research center confirms the applicant's eligibility.
The applicant completes the Confirmation of Foreign Research Student form.
The applicant prepares all required supporting documents.
Step 2. Official Seal Request
The host professor or research center submits all documents to the International Office.
The KENTECH International Office reviews the submitted documents and obtains the official seal of the KENTECH President on the Confirmation of Foreign Research Student. The sealed form is then sent to the applicant.
Step 3. Visa Application
The applicant applies for a D-2-5 visa at the Korean Embassy or Consulate in their country of residence. Applicants already residing in Korea may apply through the competent Korean Immigration Office.
The Confirmation of Foreign Research Student is valid only when it bears the official seal of the KENTECH President.
Students who have already stayed in Korea under D-2-5 status for more than two years are not eligible for reissuance of the same visa status.
Visa processing times may vary. Please allow sufficient lead time before the planned arrival.
